Biografía del Obispo Luis Carlos García Medina




Bishop Luis Carlos Garcia Medina was consecrated in October 2008 by The Rt. Reverend Dr. Victor Manuel Cruz-Blanco as Consecrator and by Bishop Larry Wilson Johnson and Bishop John Jairo Garcia Salazar visiting Anglican Bishops to Barranquilla from Virginia, U.S.A and Bogotá, Colombia. Bishop Larry Wilson Johnson as Bishop of Virginia and General Secretary for the International Missions of the ACIC.
Bishop Luis Carlos has served the Anglican Church since 2001, reading for orders under The Rt. Rev. Victor Manuel Cruz-Blanco.  He was made a priest in 2006 by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Victor Manuel Cruz-Blanco.  He served as an associated at Our Lady Queen of Pace Anglican Church, Los Olivos 1ra. Etapa, Barranquilla until 2006.  He founded Our Lady of Grace Anglican Mission to the Poor as early 2007 and for more than five years he has been a Provincial Diocesan Apostolic Administrator, pastoral counselor, and vice rector of the Diocesan Seminary.  He is the Bishop for the Atlantic Pro-Diocese within The Anglican Province of The Caribbean and New Granada.

Born in Bello, Antioquia Colombia and raised in Barranquilla, He went to the Diocesan Roman Catholic Seminary Juan XXIII and he began his professional career as a Human Resources Manager in Barranquilla at an important Company where he steal is working.  

He first studied at The Caribbean University for a Degree as an Accountant and then he earned his B.A.  He earned his Master's Degree at The Seminario Mayor Escuela de Teología y Ciencias Religiosas. His Doctorate of Divinity was earned at Virginia’s Anglican Seminary.

He is married to Maria del Socorro Lara, a Psychologist. They have two children and live at Barranquilla, Colombia.
